The Pavilion at Pacific Lakes, Pāpāmoa

Suspended within The Pavilion at Pacific Lakes Village, with it's soaring timber volume, displays a series of oversized handcrafted pendants. The lightshades introduce softness and familiarity to the scale of the space. Designed and entirely handmade in New Zealand, each light is artisan-made with a timeless quality that celebrates craftsmanship and materiality.
At 1500mm in diameter, the pendants are intentionally generous in scale, allowing them to sit comfortably within the expansive interior while creating a sense of familiarity and warmth below. Their pleated textile form diffuses light gently, bringing softness to the rich palette of dark timber and stone. Repeated throughout the Pavilion, they provide a unifying rhythm and a welcoming presence, balancing the strength of the architecture with a quieter, more human touch.
